A volunteer isnt a tourist

Volunteering is very different to being a tourist because I will spend a significant amount of time in one place and I will be working on a daily basis with local people. This provides an invaluable opportunity to learn about different cultures, develop an understanding of the issues facing host communities and develop a sense of global citizenship
